JSC "Kramatorsk Heavy Machine Tool Building Works" (KZTS) is the biggest manufacturer of heavy duty, unique and special type machine tools worldwide. These machines meet the modern requirements and operate successfully in more than 40 countries, not counting UIS-countries.

During 67 years KZTS manufactures the machine tools of wide nomenclature, reputation, high technical level and quality of which have been repeatedly pointed to awards of international organizations.

The production of KZTS covers about 200 machine models of 25 groups of various metal cutting and other technological equipment with sophisticated kinematics, electrical and hydraulic units as well as CNC-systems allowing machining work-pieces with first and second precision category.

Heavy duty lathes with maximal machining diameter 500 - 6300mm and work- piece weight 6 - 250tons, face turning machines with machining diameter up to 3200mm, deep drilling and boring machines, bore diameter 18 - 2500mm, machining length up to 25 000mm, machine tools for machining motor vehicles crankshafts with journal diameter up to 210mm, ship crankshafts, journal diameter up to 800mm and weight up to 150 tons operate successfully in such industries as heavy and transport machine building, nuclear, - energy -, ship building, chemical, paper making and cement industries.

For ferrous metallurgy KZTS manufactures roll turning and grooving machines with machining diameters 650 - 2950mm and weight 16-100 tons; roll grinding machines, machining diameter up to 2500mm; electro- slag hard- facing machines for restoration of rolls with barrel diameter 250-1400mm; machines for boring and grinding rolls in assembly with stand of the tube cold rolling mill as well as pilger mill rolls; centerless lathes for machining bars with diameter 12-360mm.

For tube rolling production KZTS manufactures a number of the machines for machining tubes, diameter 50- 2500mm (cutting -off, facing, chamfering etc.).

Carbon and graphitizied electrodes, diameter 450-1450mm for electric furnaces are completely machined on the machine tools and transfer lines made in KZTS.

For defense industry of the USSR KZTS has produced almost 1000 heavy duty machine tools used for manufacture of tanks, missiles, torpedo bodies etc.

The Kramatorsk Heavy Machine Tool Building Works is actually the only factory which manufactures transfer lines and special type machine tools for machining axles and wheel-sets of locomotives, cars etc.

In many countries the wheel turning machines KZTS for machining disassembled wheel-sets, diameter 840-1250mm, model 1836M.10 are well-known. These machines have the classical configuration of the lathe and intended for machining new and restoration of worn-out profiles of wheel-set tires of locos etc.

Besides, KZTS manufactures for different customers the saw-machines for cutting round and section rolled products, cross section 250 x 250mm, milling-drilling machines with maximal drilling diameter up to 32mm, machines for saw cutting ingots, diameter up to 2000mm, spinning lathes for hollow rotating parts diameter 900mm made of sheet material thickness up to 8mm, machines for welding reservoirs of shells diameter 2500- 9000mm, friction welding machines with axial force up to 120 tons, motorized and automated lines for machining car axles, electrodes, couplings, aluminium ingots.
